The State agency that pays unemployment benefits, collects unemployment taxes, runs the employment service and Illinois Job Bank, etc.
IDES basically runs on the VOSNET system, which is a uniform, complete app that several other states run to handle a variety of tasks, including the submission of Job Orders.
An employer must first register an account, for which an Unemployment Insurance Identification number is required.
Every state has a different name for this number, normally found with the HR or Accounting Dept. of a given firm.
Also required is an FEIN as well as the Illinois SEIN, which is connected to your business Unemployment Insurance account.
